Nethy Bridge is a small and attractive village situated on the B970 beside the R.S.P.B Abernethy Forest National Nature Reserve in the foothills of the Cairngorms.  The “Forest Village” is within the Cairngorm National Park and boasts an enviable environment with an abundance of wildlife and a diversity of year-round recreational and sporting facilities such as watersports, hill walking, bird watching, ski-ing, indoor bowls, golf, fishing and shooting to name but a few.

In the centre of Nethy Bridge take the turning up the hill adjacent to the Nethybridge Hotel. Continue over Causar crossroads towards Dorback/Tomintoul. 1.4miles from the Causar look for an entrance on the left with a small sign The Maltings. Take the track for ½ mile past a property on the left and down to a bridge. Turn left after the bridge and the plot lies between Mill Croft of Garlyne and the Maltings.

NOTE: The forestry commission are taking out wood during the moths of August and September and the road is rutted so it may be easier if you haven’t a 4×4 to use the other access as (it will be repaired afterwards). I have put a directional sign at the road end approx half a mile closer to  Nethybridge and the access road is approx 0.6 miles to the plot.
